Sunday Funday!

Hello!

Today was a day full of adventures! This morning was spent (by room 565 at least) eating the delicious croissant, cheese, and meat spread at the hotel for breakfast and finishing up the homework that was due is the evening.

Around lunchtime, we ventured out to a cat café with a very creative name: Cat Café. There were many cats to be seen and coffee to be drank. Anika was living her best life as coffee and cats are her two favorite things. There was a very large orange cat named Azúr who stole the show. He was the biggest cat any of us had ever seen! He was about the size of a small medium sized dog.

The snow this morning put us in a wintery mood, so we decided to head over to the City-Park skating rink to try our hand at ice skating and maybe find a spot on the Olympic team! We were very impressed by all of the speedy skaters that graced our presence.

Wow look at these talented skaters

Some of our classmates had a different idea of how to spend the wintery day. They decided to check out one of the many outdoor Turkish baths in Budapest. This was a great way to warm up on the coldest day of the trip so far!

Geting toasty at the baths!
Some good ravioli

After our skating adventure, we headed back toward the hotel to grab dinner at Cuisina, an Italian restaurant a block away from the hotel. We indulged is some delicious pasta and some fruity/minty lemonade. Yum! We are currently sitting in our room thinking about some large numbers and cool math. If anyone knows how to get from mod 11 to mod 9 let us know!

Peace,
Shannon, Katelyn, and Anika.

  1. Which Cat Cafe did you go to? The one kind of between Deak Ferenc Ter and the back of the basilica?
