Day three

Hello friends! It was a busy third day in Budapest.  We started our day with an extensive and informative walking tour of the city.  Our tour guide showed us many things, including the oldest church and restaurant in Budapest, the oldest subway in continental Europe, memorials for both soldiers and civilians, and even a statue of Ronald Reagan!

After exploring the wonderful city and learning about all the tremendous history that took place here, we found our way into a nice (no so little) marketplace for a late lunch.  We tried a Hungarian dish called Langos, which can best be described (in our opinion) as a salty donut with toppings such as meats, cheeses, vegetables and sour cream.  The tour took slightly longer than anticipated, so unfortunately class was cancelled and rescheduled for another day. The afternoon consisted of several intense cribbage battles (featured on ESPN 8 The Ocho). Unfortunately due to broadcasting rights we were unable to obtain any photos from the matches, however we can disclose that there was a symmetrical distribution of wins between professor Berliner, Derek and Hunter.

Cheers from Budapest,
Hunter Smith, Derek Camenga, Andrew Cannestra, Dan Swenson
